About Us

Networks Inc. Ltd was registered in 1992 by Paul Browning.

Paul was one of 42 Cisco TAC engineers who worked in Milton Keynes.  The TAC was part of a 24/7 global support system for Cisco customers who needed support and advice on technologies such as VLANs, ISDN, Frame Relay, NAT, Dial on Demand, VPN and QOS.

The TAC was closed down in 1992 when Cisco decided to move their TAC support team to India and Mexico where labour costs were cheaper.  It was at this time that Paul and ten other TAC engineers went into business for themselves.

Networks Inc. Ltd started out by offering Cisco consultancy for customers in the UK.  They offered design, bandwidth testing, penetration testing and network security solutions.  Customers then began to request on site training so they could manage and troubleshoot their own networks rather than having to rely on consultants.

The courses proved very popular so Cisco CCNA weekend courses began to run and have sold out ever weekend since they first began to run in 1992.  Students come from all over Europe to attend the CCNA weekend course.  The course has led to partnerships with companies all over the UK.  CCNP weekend courses are now being taught, voice and security weekends are about to launch.

Paul Browning worked in the police for 12 years in Coventry and Birmingham.  He became interested in IT when he bought a PC and needed to upgrade it.  Paul passed his MCSE and then his Cisco exams.  He worked at Yellow Pages, BT and then Cisco before starting Networks Inc. Ltd

Paul is the Director of Networks Inc. Ltd
