Who are Pomeroy?

Pomeroy is in the enviable position of being privately owned by Platinum Equity who specialise in the investment of technology and IT related businesses. As such this allows Pomeroy to aggressively grow and deliver new services across the world, especially in Europe.

As part of the growth and investment efforts for Pomeroy worldwide the decision was taken to offer more advanced technological services in Europe to align with the US. In June 2011 the new PSG (Professional Services Group) business division was launched to offer to existing and new customers higher levels of skill set, service and delivery across many facets of advanced technologies.
What are Professional Services?
In essence, Professional Services is a generic term used when referring to the delivery or provision of services based around advice, guidance and delivery. Solicitors, accountants, architects can all be referred to a "professional services" businesses as they all offer very high levels of knowledge, guidance and delivery.
In IT, Professional Services companies are used to orchestrate, advise, guide and deliver advanced projects for companies who might lack or have insufficient resources themselves. Typically PS business operate in niche, specialist areas due to the advanced levels of knowledge and skills on offer and Pomeroy is no different.

Initially, Pomeroy PSG will offer services around the areas of Network, Security and Virtualisation as these are the most commonly requested technologies from businesses, naturally over time this list will expand to include additional technologies based on demand and market trends.
