Cisco Voice Over IP

The 642-436 Cisco Voice over IP (CVOICE) is the exam associated with the Cisco Certified Voice Professional CCVP® certification. This exam tests a candidate's knowledge of the foundational elements of VOIP calls, and the description of dial plans, and the implementation of gateways, gatekeepers and IP-IP gateways. Candidates can prepare for this exam by taking the CVOICE Cisco Voice over IP course. Other foundation level exams are the CCNA Security and CCNA Wireless.

During your course you will learn how to:

	Describe the components of the Cisco Unified Communications Architecture
	Describe PSTN components and technologies
	Describe VoIP components and technologies
	Describe and configure gateways, voice ports, and dial peers to connect to the PSTN and service provider networks
	Describe and configure a Cisco network to support VoIP
	Implement UC500 using Cisco Configuration Assistant
	Implement Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express to support endpoints using CLI
	Implement voicemail features using Cisco Unity Express

In order to take the CCNA CVOICE exam you will need to be a current CCNA.

You do not need to be a current CCNA to attend the course but in order to take the exam you will need to have passed the Cisco CCNA routing (640-801 or 640-802).

The exam number is 642-436 CVOICE. The exam can be booked at your local testing centre via www.vue.com
